All Pepped Up (Pepper Jones #2) by Ali Dean [Review]

All Pepped Up (Pepper Jones #2)

Winning nationals wasn’t the only dream that came true. I also walked away with the heart of the one boy I couldn’t live without. I knew the being Jace Wilder’s girlfriend wouldn’t be simple. But how could I have known all the hurdles we would face?

Drama at school? That’s a given. Jealous girls? That I expected. Family secrets? Not so much. At least I can always hit the trails to clear my head… or so I thought.

The high expectations from my winning cross country season still haunt me, and hold me hostage. I can’t seem to get psyched up for what comes next. My competitive spirit is fading and I’m lost without it. What will I do when my one constant is no longer my safe place? Life on and off the track is spiraling out of control, leaving me in its wake as I struggle to remember who I truly am.

Pepper and Jace are finally together and after two months of secretly dating to avoid hurting Ryan, Peppers ex. They finally go public only for Pepper to suffer the wrath of a very mean girl, someone from Jace’s past, Madeline. Think of the mean girl from your high school, she’ll stop at pretty much nothing to get what she wants…Jace.

With girls like Madeline after her, Pepper feels a little insecure with her relationship, always doubting herself and trying to prove to both her and Jace that he really does want to be with her. Luckily for Pepper, Madeline attends a different school, but unlucky for her, someone in Peppers school wants to be friends with Madeline and will do anything to help end Pepper and Jace.

There is a lot more drama in this book than there was in Pepped Up, but that’s to be expected when one character is semi popular and the other is basically king of his high school, and, what good would a book be with out a little drama?

Ali Dean, kudos to you again, for giving us exactly what we needed for Pepper and Jace’s story line. Ali did wonderful at bringing Jace and Pepper to life for her readers, she also knows how to make her readers laugh and feel the pain that her characters feel. I personally, could read about Pepper and Jace forever.

Hey all, welcome to my blog! I'm Meagan and I live in Central NY, I've been reading since I was 14 years old and it all started with James Patterson's 'Sam's Letters to Jennifer'. I took the book with me every where I thought I might have a second to read. It's been my go to book as well and I can't imagine what I would do if I never read that. When I'm not reading, which is almost never, you can find me watching my favorite shows which include Bones, Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy, Castle, The Originals, Once Upon A Time, NCIS, The O.C. and Hawaii Five-O! When ever I start a book, I'm almost always instantly hooked, I will stay up all night reading if I can't put it down just so I know the happy ending. My favorite authors include Julie Prestsater, R.S. Grey, Leigh Talbert Moore, Jenn Sterling, P.C. and Kristen Cast, Richelle Mead, Lauren Kate, Gillian Flynn, Kandi Steiner, Brittainy C. Cherry, Staci Hart, Molly McAdams and James Patterson. I always love learning about new authors and talking books, if you'd like to get in touch, feel free to send me a DM on either instagram or facebook.
