Pepper
I’ve made it this far and I’m not about to slow down now, in fact I’m ready to start breaking some records. With my junior year of college quickly approaching, I know it’s time to step it up a notch if I want to run professionally after I graduate. Hoping for a race day breakthrough, I wonder if it’s actually a mental barrier holding me back and if so, how am I supposed to confront what I can’t see? Letting my past be my guide, both on and off the trails, I listen to my heart and finally know what it takes to win it all… trust. In Jace and myself.

Jace
I want Pepper back. Anyway I can have her, however she will take me. I’m reluctant to bulldoze my way into her life, having already crushed her once (okay, probably a few more times than that) before, but I’ll do whatever it takes. I just need to remind her what we had- what we have, and what’s at stake, but first, I’ll have to get her to listen to me. What happens if I’m too late and she crosses the finish line without me?

When you first dive back into the world of Pepper and Jace, things are very different from the first book. For starters Jace broke Peppers heart in Pep Talks and now she’s moving on from that heart break. The only thing is, Jace wants her back, he just doesn’t know how to win back her trust and show her that he wont crush her again.

Like any other strong female character, and real life females, Pepper wants Jace to know she doesn’t need him, no matter how hard that is. When they start to become friends again and the attraction is back full force, it’s hard to deny everything that both Pepper and Jace feel. One of my favorite things about this book is that we see more inside of Jace’s head than we did in Pep Talks. If you have already read this book then you know what is going on inside Jace’s mind.

I really loved that Ali didn’t keep things about just Pepper and Jace, keeping Peppers friends in the story line with important to me as a reader because I love to hear and read about other people, side characters are very important a good story line. As always, Bunny is my favorite. I’ve said it before in previous reviews, Ali Dean knows how to keep me on my toes.

Ali is a USA Today Bestselling author of sports romance. She has always loved to read, especially when there’s a happily ever after, but found that there weren’t enough books out there featuring girl athletes. So, she decided to work on that. Like the heroines in her books, Ali is an athlete, with running and skiing her favorite sports these days. Ali hails from Vermont and now lives in her own happily-ever-after in Colorado with her husband, boy-girl twins, and golden retriever Pancake. When she’s not pursuing an outdoor adventure, Ali’s less healthy passions include ice cream, coffee, and beer.

Hey all, welcome to my blog! I'm Meagan and I live in Central NY, I've been reading since I was 14 years old and it all started with James Patterson's 'Sam's Letters to Jennifer'. I took the book with me every where I thought I might have a second to read. It's been my go to book as well and I can't imagine what I would do if I never read that. When I'm not reading, which is almost never, you can find me watching my favorite shows which include Bones, Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy, Castle, The Originals, Once Upon A Time, NCIS, The O.C. and Hawaii Five-O! When ever I start a book, I'm almost always instantly hooked, I will stay up all night reading if I can't put it down just so I know the happy ending. My favorite authors include Julie Prestsater, R.S. Grey, Leigh Talbert Moore, Jenn Sterling, P.C. and Kristen Cast, Richelle Mead, Lauren Kate, Gillian Flynn, Kandi Steiner, Brittainy C. Cherry, Staci Hart, Molly McAdams and James Patterson. I always love learning about new authors and talking books, if you'd like to get in touch, feel free to send me a DM on either instagram or facebook.
