“Prentiss Puckett is certain of three things:
-Graduation is two weeks away.
-Summer only gets hotter in south Mississippi.
-She’s getting a job with air-conditioning.
She did not expect to be kidnapped walking to work.
And she never expected to become a hero.”
Red Dawn meets L O S T in this new action-adventure romance from Amazon bestselling author Leigh Talbert Moore.
**This is a review of the whole serial, not individually!
Dabb Creek was a little town in Mississippi with less then a thousand people, strangers never stopped there. Until, one day Prentiss was late for work and in the blink of an eye, everything went black. When Prentiss awakens, she finds her self stuck in what seems to be an old summer camp. Surprisingly, she wasn’t freaked out, but she felt emotionless, and her brain calm. The one word that formed in the back of her mind: Controlled. As she scoped out the room, she recognized many faces around her, including her brother, Braxton and friend D’Lo. The captors say they mean no harm, that this is a temporary holding, they are to work on the farm, and it will supply their food.
As things progress in part two, things click easier and make more sense. This isn’t something I normally read but it definitely caught my attention and after the first few pages I was sucked in completely, I needed to know what happens.
In most of the books I read, there are the bad guys and then the bad guys that are actually not so bad, and the good guys that are actually… not good, and that’s the case with this book as well.
Leigh does an amazing job of sucking you in and making you fall for someone who is supposed to be the enemy. It’s amazing the feelings that I felt while reading this and it was different to read this type of genre.
